What positions are currently available?

How much will I be compensated?
Your compensation rate depends on the type of health care you provide, as well as facility location. You can visit our Positions/Applications page to find out more about specific rates.

What are the minimum requirements to practice in a correctional or medical/mental health setting?
You must provide the Registry of Physician Specialists with a copy of your state professional license, DEA number (if applicable), driver's license, social security card, proof of liability insurance coverage, updated resume or CV and any additional documents required by individual institutions as outlined on our Positions/Applications page.

Where are the correctional and medical/mental health facilities located?
Most of our opportunities are within facilities located throughout California. We also have opportunities at facilities in the states of Connecticut, Oklahoma and Wisconsin with continuing expansion within the United States. - Do you place primary and mental health experts in permanent or temporary positions?
We have full time and part time opportunities that include permanent placement in salaried positions and independent contractor assignments. The needs for independent contractors vary, but most positions offer the opportunity for temporary or permanent work. Whatever your needs, we will work with you to place you in a position that you are comfortable with.
- How can I work through the Registry of Physician Specialists?
The first step is to fill out and send in a completed application package to the Registry of Physician Specialists. Once we receive your application, we can begin the placement and scheduling process. Please visit our Positions/Application page to download the necessary documents for your specialty.
- Are there on-call positions available?
Yes, there are on-call positions available.
- How long does it take to get signed up and cleared for a facility?
After you have sent in an Application for your specialty, the selected facility may take anywhere from 2-6 weeks to verify your credentials. However, once verified, many of the facilities will not need to re-verify your credentials for up to one year.
- Is there weekend work available?
Yes, weekend shifts are available at select facilities.
- Are residents qualified to work?
We currently do not have any opportunities for residents at any facility. Nevertheless, we encourage residents to send in applications so that when they qualify, they can begin work immediately.
- Where is the Registry of Physician Specialists head-quarters located?
